The collaboration with The North Face, a global leader in technical outdoor apparel, focused on the development of AW19 collection technical drawings, combining fashion product design with a strong understanding of performance-driven outdoor requirements. The project supported the translation of creative concepts into precise and production-ready technical visuals.
Working closely with The North Face design team, I developed flat drawings starting from hand-drawn sketches, with a strong focus on coded elements, construction logic, and functional details. Each style was carefully translated into clean and accurate technical illustrations, ensuring clarity for product development and alignment with the brand’s innovative design language.
The collaboration with The North Face focused on technical flat drawings, outdoor apparel design, and precise product development support for performance-driven collections.
Starting from hand-drawn sketches, the project translated concepts into production-ready technical illustrations, aligning fabric choices and functional details with outdoor performance requirements.
From a technical apparel design perspective, the process involved refining silhouettes, defining fabric applications, and detailing functional components such as seams, panels, and performance features. Particular attention was given to technical accuracy, proportional balance, and construction feasibility, supporting the development of high-performance outdoor garments.
The final result is a set of clear, detailed, and production-ready flat drawings, designed to support efficient development and communication across teams. This project highlights my expertise as a fashion designer specialised in technical outdoor and sportswear, with a strong focus on technical drawing, product development support, and performance-oriented apparel design.
