The collaboration with Miti, a historic Italian company specialised in high-performance technical fabrics, focused on the presentation of the AW25 collection through a clear and structured creative and product storytelling approach. The project aimed to communicate innovation, performance, and versatility by developing five thematic directions, each designed to highlight specific fabric technologies and end-use applications.
Working closely with the Miti team, I contributed to the development of thematic moodboards, combining fabric selection, product imagery, and design inspiration to support clients in understanding the potential of the AW25 collection. Daily Tech focused on 4-way stretch warp knits for technical suiting, offering wrinkle-free, comfortable, and modern solutions for travel-ready and city-oriented performance wear.
From a performance fabric design perspective, Be Out There presented a selection of warm and breathable fabrics for mid-layer garments, suitable for soft shells, jackets, and hoodies designed for outdoor use during fall and winter. One Mile Wear, dedicated to ladieswear, explored sculpting warp knits, brushed fabrics with a vintage feel, and spongy spacer materials for structured yet comfortable outerwear.
In addition, Performbase highlighted no-iron, high-wicking jersey and piqué fabrics for technical shirts and polos, combining easy care with performance functionality. Overlayers focused on double-knit jersey fabrics for hoodies and tracksuits, with an emphasis on structure, drape, and comfort, including Japanese fleece, ripstop, and chevron constructions that are soft, quick-drying, and durable.
The collaboration with Miti Performance Fabrics focused on AW25 performance fabric storytelling, thematic moodboards, and technical textile presentation for sportswear and activewear brands.
Five AW25 themes translated technical fabrics into designed garments, combining Italian textile innovation, performance materials, and product design presented at Milano Unica.
The outputs of the collaboration included five complete thematic moodboards and the design of selected garmentsdeveloped using the AW25 fabrics. These pieces were created to visually translate fabric performance into finished products and were presented at Milano Unica AW25, supporting Miti’s positioning as a leader in technical performance fabrics. This project highlights my expertise as a fashion designer working with textile innovation, with a strong focus on performance fabrics, product storytelling, and sportswear-oriented fabric presentation.
