The collaboration with Ki-72, a sustainability-focused project by Madex, a leading Italian outdoor apparel company, focused on the development of an SS22 fully sustainable collection, integrating technical product design with recycled performance materials. The goal was to create garments that emphasise both functionality and environmental responsibility, using only post-consumer recycled materials sourced through global recycling initiatives.

Working closely with the Ki-72 team, I contributed to the concept development, product design, and material integration, ensuring that sustainability and performance were core drivers of the collection.

All garments were designed using materials made exclusively from recycled plastic bottles, leveraging Repreve® recycled polyester technology, a globally recognised sustainable fiber system that transforms post-consumer bottles into high-quality yarns while reducing waste and resource use.

The Ki-72 collaboration focused on sustainable outdoor design, using Repreve recycled fabrics to develop shell jackets, padded vests, and windbreakers.

The project leveraged Repreve recycled fabrics, transforming plastic bottles into performance yarns to support circular design, sustainable trims, and eco-conscious outdoor apparel development.

From a sustainable apparel design perspective, the collection comprises shell jackets, padded vests, and windbreakers, each developed to meet outdoor performance requirements while minimising environmental impact. Particular attention was given to garment construction, fabric performance, and the integration of Repreve® nylon trims, ensuring that even accessories aligned with the project’s sustainable ethos.

The outputs of the collaboration included thematic product line development, technical flat drawings, and material specifications, presenting a complete set of garments ready for production. The project was presented to Madex partners such as The North Face, Descente, Peuterey, Blauer, and others as part of Ki-72’s strategic launch, highlighting a strong commitment to recycled textiles, circular design, and sustainable performance wear.
